What a weekend! We’re back in the Threshold HQ this Monday but our hearts are still out there in Bramham Park. With 15,000 laps banked across the course of the weekend, we were privileged to host and bear witness to the biggest Endure24 Leeds ever.
Runners this year were met with challenging conditions, with temperatures closing in on 30 degrees and high humidity on the Saturday. But we saw fairer conditions that evening and into Sunday, and runners were able to bank more laps in the cooler weather.
Here’s how the race played out at the front of the pack!
Leaders of the Pack
This year we introduced the Lead the Pack prize at Endure24 Leeds, courtesy of our Official Eyewear Partner Nike Vision, who awarded the first man and woman back on Lap One a pair of Nike Expedition Shield sunglasses.
Our winning lady was Katie Latham from Team Scrambled Heads with a time of 31:46, and the fastest man was Tom Collinge from Team Ten Balls and a Bucket with a time of 27:30. Congratulations to both and thank you to Nike Vision for the prizes!
Solos
An increasingly popular category, this year we welcomed over 600 Solo runners to Endure24 Leeds.
Women’s Race
Women’s winner Elizabeth Nairn started as she meant to go on, running her first lap in just over 41 minutes to take the lead from the off. Elizabeth won the race back in 2021 with 23 laps, so it was great to see her return to the course to bank 24 laps for the win in 23:49 elapsed – a new women’s course record for Endure24 Leeds.
Rounding out the female podium was Katie Harrison, who ran 23 laps, and Georgina Baker, who managed 20.
We had seven women achieve 20 laps for 100 miles this year – well done to all of them for some truly awesome running!
